    Hong Kong is widely recognized as a uniquely special place. And after the handover from Britain to China in 1997, Hong Kong somewhat strengthen its status as a major financial center and in addition to finance and big business has a great many attractions for leisure visitors.

    Each Hong Kong hotel reflects the dynamic cultural elements which define the territory to the world.

    Hotels in Hong Kong are varied from budget backpackers’ to the sparkling luxury resorts. However, five-star hotels in Hong Kong are generally smaller and less pricing than those in other major cities like New York City, London, Paris, Shanghai and Sydney.

    One of those luxury hotels in Hong Kong is YMCA Salisbury which right next to the famous Peninsula in Tsim Sha Tsui and enjoys a nice view across the harbor. And it rates from $900 per room per night.

    Besides those luxury ones, there are also plentiful choices of more affordable accommodations that located throughout Hong Kong but mostly concentrated in southern Kowloon.

    Simply walking along Nathan Road between Tsim Sha Tsui and Mong Kok, you can easily find a nice and clean place to stay. The Hong Kong government has also listed on line a number of hotels and guesthouses that has been licensed by them.

    The Hong Kong Youth Hostel Association also runs a few youth hotels, but most of them are located outside the city and thus not very convenient for sightseeing.
